    BMS Jackplate fitment issues

Recently installed a pair of Bob's Machine Shop manual jackplates on my 24 Skater. Had some fitment issues with holes lining up and had to drill out two of the holes on one of the plates that mounts to the transom. Also, was intending on mounting the jackplates with the 2" offset and not the 5", but couldn't get them to line up right between the transom plate and the motor. Is this normal just based on the differences between motors and transoms?

Finally got them mounted but had to go with 5" setback and not 2". Now I'm thinking 5" is too much and I need to re-install them with 2" and hope I can get things to line up.

I had one and used the 2" setback setup with no issues.

Ok thanks. Gonna try to invert the plates around tomorrow evening. Our original plans were to invert the plates to use the 2" setback but when we couldn't get it to line up we decided not to invert them and it's 5" setback. Not really thinking that 5" setback on the Skater is what it needs, not to mention my hydraulic steering hoses are now too short with 5" setback. So tomorrow we are going to try and get the fitment correct for the 2" setback with the inverted plates. Thx for the info.
