    Hi,

i have oposite experience two stroke vs verado - but thats me My PM 300 with Brucato SVS and recal ecu was a dog compared to my 350 sci. I also had 225 fight back in time. I have forgot. I like the Etec engines, pity they only do 300.

    Cheers Toffen

    A 500 pound 350 HO would be nice. A 600 pound 400+ horsepower V-8 would work too.

    Why no Veardo

    HI!

Would it be possible to buy a 4,88 dia Torquemaster lower unit, change the original Torquemaster gearshaft with a new Verado gearshaft, and bolt on? A Torque Master gearcase has the same internals as the Sportmaster, so it should be strong. As we know the HD gearcase of 350 sci is big 5,44 diameter. A Torquemaster should offset steering torque (and hopefully help speed) + being smaller adding speed as well.

    Cheeers and thanks, Toffen

So the Sm fits the Verado thats interesting. What about making it a 15 or 16inch mid? Can the mid be cut? Were does all the weight come from the block?

If I'm correct the water cooled dry sump oil tank is in the mid. Should be able to mount that in the hull. Just an idea. Gary
