Some have one tps but mine has two of them bolted together with a throttle linkage in the middle

Okay I see the diagram of yours with 2 TPS. Each one has 2 different part numbers so I assume the must be a difference between them. If this is so I would think they would not fit together unless put in the correct location? But also is it possible you were plugging the wrong wire plug in? If you are sure you had that correct than it certainly is possible one of the new ones you purchased is no good. I agree with the WTF! I Go WTF all the time with this stuff.

Yes they are plugged into the right sensors you cant mix them up I guess its if it can go wrong it will?

I am still getting a code once in a while still cause the tps1 and tps 2 came up and all i changed is tps 1

The problem would have to be with the wire harnesses or the sensors.
