    2002-2004? Evinrude 225HO Specs?

Looking for the specs for the 2002 and up Evinrude Ficht 225HO. Engine size, weight, max rpm etc. Seen one running a few times on a Charger STV and it sure ran strong! Thanks!

    3.3 liters, approx 500 lbs, 250 HP's,and I think 6K limiter.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I'm not too up on the newer motors but a buddy of mine has one of these on a 25' grouper boat. What exactly is the difference in an 04' 250 and a 250 e-tec?

I had a DI and a E-tec on my 21 paramount. Only a couple days apart the DI idle quality, power, cleanliness (smoke free) seemed very close according on the butt dyno. Fuel consumption was very similar at cruise although the e-tec was quieter at idle. The boat was loaded down so never really got a top end number or good test out of either engine but in similar conditions both performed great. The entire e-tec system is much better then the older DI as far as reliability etc. but i have seen many late model DI engines with hours as high as e-tecs with the same conditions.

Limiters 6200 starts dumping oil in the 56-5800 range if i remember correctly.

I'm helping a buddy with a 250DI go on a 16" taylor mid with a 1.62 merc gearcase. Should be fun on his bullet xd20
