2001 OPTI 225 wont run wot surges bad also when idling in gear and you trim up or down motor picks up 800-1000 rpms

Check your fuel system for air leaks, restrictions or contamination such as water. Check/ replace the fuel filters. Surging at high speeds usually is a fuel delivery problem. As for the idling, don't know, maybe check your battery connections (just a shot in the dark) and condition of the battery and charging system. A lot of people put their batteries in using the wing nuts and don't get them tight enough.... loose battery connections can cause all kinds of havoc in electronic engines.....
