87 225 carb jetting with airbox baffle

is it safe to run the mid bore 743 carbs with 48 idle 14 mid and 62d mains with the baffle installed? I would assume with the baffle out that you would need 74d mains. the parts diagrams are a little misleading. it shows for a xp that you wouldn't have a baffle and the mid and idle are the same as the 225 with the baffle. the only difference I see is 74d main without baffle and 62d with baffle. anyone with advise of these mid bores and the difference between 225 jetting and xp/gt. is anyone else running mid bores with 14 48 62d with a baffle

What you have posted is correct, the xp had .025 off the head compared to the 225
