I just havent had the time/opportunity to let her eat. Suddenly my wife has taken an interest in boating and wants to go with me so I havent been solo. Work is crazy now as well. Im sure Ill get out this month though and we will see what she does in the heat of summer.

One thing I noticed is that it seems to be running real rich at idle. Im guessing its dumping more fuel out the exhaust at low rpm (less efficient) with the higher exhaust ports. I need to strap it to the trailer, put the big prop on it, and tune in the hole shot again.

well good luck. I got my 14' aluminum boat past 30 yesterday. I got a 1983 35 HP Evinrude on it and I had to raise it a couple of inches..made all the difference in the world. I could not figure out why I could barley out run all the 15s out there. My 35 should have been smoking them. 2 inches up was a huge change, then I got sand in my water pump, thank God I had just installed an overheat buzzer. Got to drop the gearcase and flush. new impeller on the way. I will GPS my next run, I am going to unload it and go for 40 MPH....ROFL but that is fast for me. especially in a john boat. I actually do have an old bass boat that I just got a evinrude 140 for. I think I am going to try for 55 MPH on it, not sure the 140 can reach that though. might have to get a 175. Let me know how your run goes today.. get a little wind to your back and I think 100 can happen for sure.

Actually ran the blat by myself today for the first time since replacing the piston and raising the ports. She ran great and I spent some time with my foot on the mat. Got a good piston wash read and made some adjustments. Its hard to compare because it was 94 degrees today, 287% humidity, and I was alone so I kept the trim conservative. It ran 91.4mph spinning a 30x15 ET to 7130.
I "think" its maybe a little faster looking at old data but not much. I dont think it will pull the 32 to 100mph but I wont know until its cold.
