E85 fuel safe to use on 250ho etec?
was curious to know whether its possible to use the E85 fuel in the etec fuel system? what gains has it achieved?

If you want to destroy the fuel system go ahead. How ever you will probably blow up the powerhead first

wow wow didnt know that stuff was that bad lol. it was a discussion my cousin and i brought up talking about his mitsubishi evo 8. and i was like, hmmmm e85 in a etec. but i guess not now. cheers guys

Even in his Evo you need at the minimum bigger injectors and a fuel pump capable of moving enough fuel. You need almost double the fuel to keep the stoichiometric AFR fir E85. Then without more compression or at the minimum more timing you won't really see any performance benefits. The reason it works so well in turbo cars is you can easily turn up the boost to take advantage of the extra octane the E85 supplies.

because of the alcohol content its not safe at all, you think fuel/water issues with reg. pump gas are bad...
