You said the word on the 383 stroker. Was the first Chevy motor I tried in the pinto after changing from the Rouse 351C. Ended up @ 377 for the RPMs but changed the cam and pistons on the 383 and stuck it in a s-10 years ago.
Pinto was fun. Last 70s, early 80s when the 426 wagons were even king at the drag strips, camaro's ruled and I showed up with a 1825 pound pro frame pinto. About 500 pounds lighter than everyone else. Knew they would wax me in the quarter but the 5 speed lenco, , pulling 5.56s was dang fast in the 1/8s

Brian.. The fastest thing we had around Tabor City NC growing up was not a car. It was a blue Ford long wheel base just like yours. Tub Gore. Farm boy, had it. Father kinda helped him out but had the twin 4s on top a tunnel ram and a 427 ford, with a 4 speed. Had it lowered, tubbed in the rear with the biggest tires he could get back then. That truck was a monster. Nice ride you got there to.. Inside is clean as a pen.
    Stang is awesome.
Victor, I love boost and the GTs are what seems to come after my sky more than any other car and N/A I have a blast with them but with the whippel I know when to tip my hat.. LOL

Thread is all in fun guys. With all that serious hardware you guys got in those boats I know this ain't all of the street toys.

Im at 12#s. I know im beyond the limits of the stock bottom end. I keep crappy street tires on most of the time and I think thats whats holding it together as the motor doesnt get a hard load on it until 3rd gear and then I'm out of room to do much more on the street, anything under 60mph breaks them loose. I have larger pulleys for the blower but cant bring myself to put one on to lose power. When I get new rear tires for it I'll probably detune it a little just to make it live longer.

Yea I understand that. My stepdad grenaded his stock block at the track. It lasted over 2 years though. Longer than I thought.

    Hay Parker.
Really easy. Go to photo bucket and get set up with them. You can down load what ever photos you want to their web sight for free then copy the IMG code to the right of the photo once the photo loads to their sight then paste it under what ever you want to say about your new motor. If your still having trouble add yahoo to my user name and send me a e mail and I"ll post them for you. / Hope this helps.
ps.. Hell of a horse with that much CI and boost. Would enjoy seeing that monster.
