Adapter Evinrude v8 to mercury harness

I'm rigging my boat with 2 1989 Evinrude v8s. I bought the boat without motors. It had Merc's on it. I think they were 2.5's The harnesses in the boat have a round connector with 8 pins including one in the center. Is there an adapter harness for this combination. If so what would activate the choke.

I didn't want to touch the wiring in the boat. It's done perfectly. Under dash and gauges are wired. All secured and neat.

You can make adapters pretty easily. The merc harness and key switch will do everything the OMC needs. You can either hack off the end of the mercs and splice on the red omc plug or get the motor side of the merc plug and plug it into the boat harness then connect it to the Omc red plug so its all plug and play.

I called Kendor Marine. They need a part #. They only have OE adapters. Example old motor to newer harness. Do you have the part # your buddy used.

Here are the OMC wiring codes, if you use these you can wire a female merc connector from a motor to a male connector from an omc harness to make an adaptor

Thanks Bruce, If I can't find adapters I'll make them. But for $40 each it's not worth making them. STILL LOOKING FOR ADAPTER #.
