Any tricks to ring more power out of the DI Evinrude engines

I was just curious if there are any methods, performance products, or whatever that can get more HP out of the Evinrude 225 HO Direct Injected engines? I know they have about got them where they are tamper proof but figured if anyone had found a way around it this would be the place to start.
    Thanks

Where are you located in illinois? Best bang for the buck is low water pickup so you can surface the motor....

I'll have that any day now. I have a lower down at Bob's Machine in Florida having a cone with the low water pickups and got my hydraulic jackplate bolted in the holes where I can flat jack it in the air when I get it back. If there timeline is right it should be done this week. I take it that was a trick done to your rude on the back of your rig? Do you mind me asking what lower unit your using?

I live in Elizabethtown. Southeastern part of IL right on the Ohio river.

Ive run both 1.86 and 1.71 lightning.....the 1.71 is a much better ratio for the lighter boats. The LWP is a must to go as fast as we go.....

Well that's a new one on me, I wasn't aware the lightening come in 2 different gear ratios. I have never been able to keep a lightening together. I've got a magnum sent to bobs right now and running my stock lightening now. Thinking its the 1.86.

L2 "high speed" was the 1.71......BRP recalled them and replaced with 1.86 magnums....now they are gold. For 1.86 the older offshore case has the smaller bullet than the magnum....im rigging my twin with the offshores.

Be sure to add a water pressure gauge if you don't already have one.
The most bang for your buck is usually in set-up. Speed Jr. and the fellas ought to be able to help some!

I doubt you'll get the case high enough on the ASX before it loses the ability to lift the hull. The ASX is still a heavy rig compared to what most run here. Not sure if the low water pickup will help or hurt it. I had one of the better running 201's that there was and I always ran out of ability to carry the hull before I ran out of water pressure. My original powerhead would turn a worked up 29 Tempest to 6100, and a worked up 28 Raker2 to 6050. The Raker2 carried the boat better and was faster, it would run into the low 80's any day of the week, with a max speed I saw of 85.5. It only did 85 that one time though. Many doubted it and I was never afraid to show them in person. Did you purchase the yellow/white/red ASX? The ASX really needed a prop and gearcase that would lift the rear end. Once you find that, it will run fairly level with neutral trim and haul the mail for a basser.

One of my fav pics of my 201
