STV euro with Short-Shaft engine?
Just wondered if it was possible to use a Mercury 260 SS on a STV euro, without having to cut down the transom?
Best regards

Hi Gary,
Yes i've seen those. But i was hoping to avoid the extra weight and setback. So it's not possible to hook a short-shaft engine onto the 20" transom, because then the engine would be too high even at the lowest level?Best regards

We tried the one Gary refered to and while it did allow for installation, the boat didn't like it. I should also state it was on a River Rocket and not a Euro which could make a difference cuz I am using a similar plate on my Allison with a 15" motor and it does fine.
