Thanks Steve. Do the TXPs come in 22, they only appear as 21 and 23 on the website?

i don't think so. for some reason they skip the 22p in the txp

but the lightening is made in a 22p. i'm not a huge fan of the lightening prop. but it does
work on some boat/engine combo's .. mostly the older engines.

I have experimented with the TXP and the lightning and seems if your boat likes alittle more stern lift then you will like a turbo Lightning. JMO

i played with modifying the fusion 4's and never even came close to making that prop run good.

from my understanding BRP is having Solas make all there props now. and yes, they are made in malaysia.

if your looking for a raker (or close too) blade design. then the power tech RK3 or the turbo txp are
the two closest blades to that design.

the Raker II has alot of parabolic rake in it. it has too because of the soft metal.

more rake? i would say no.(about the same) but they do have more progression and higher cup heights than the original raker, but not
as much as the raker II.

I am pretty limited I think to the make of props due to size of gearbox, mine is the omc triple with 2.42 reduction and I think about 4 1/4 hub with the 13 splines same size as the old v4 140 gearbox.
I am trying to find what will give the most bow lift possible, my boat runs too wet. I
I have tried a silver streak/srx but that dont get the front out the water enough. not much different to a sst to be honest.

p.s. what i was trying to find was a prop that would compare to a rev4 or bravo I. haven't found one yet, other than a hydromotive.

Hill Marines bravo style prop is okay, but needed alot of work to run with a bravo I. Hering's B1 4 blade is killer! i gave them some specs
for one i wanted and it's fast!!!! and virtually will never break... but it's 1550.00!! ouch. simply the prettiest prop i've ever seen.
has 15.2 dia. and claim 40'rake i run it high with only small torque compared to a chopper no nose cone boat loved it. now with 2.4 220 mag with cone runs 75 but i think the bobs lower is slowing me down feels heavy even thhough i gained 8-10 mph from the 150 the 220 came with coned lower really wanted stock 1.87 needto trade for a stock good 1 87 CLE too much $

matter of fact i just ran a z8 nitro with a 225 pro xs. the 26p tempest ran better than a 25 or 26 txp

just depends on what the boat wants.
Steve or anyone with experience on the TXP's.

The best prop on our race boat with a 150 ProXS has been a 29" Tempest Plus at around 5800rpm. However, the Tempest is slightly short. As Merc doesn't make Tempest in 30" I was planning on testing the TXP 3. Can you give me some pointers on whether to go with 29" or 30" TXP 3? I've heard the TXP is rather stiff... We've just briefly tested a 30" TXP OT4 and that lost quite a bit of revs compared to the Tempest 29", but was still about as fast.
