glad they are molds and not a splash, that was always a cool boat. BTW, as RBT pointed out, the STV name belongs Full Throttle Powerboats.

Rob did you receive the pics?

And to answer the question on the pole-cat tunnel to the drag bottom...
I recall measuring my tunnels and there was a (black polecat) for sale and he
said "I think" 3 inches were his tunnels, and I think mine were 4 1/2 (After Wally's mod)...
Love mine, excellerated VERY well for a 1200lbs boat...

If you could get one under 1000 lbs...
It would be unstoppable in 800'...

Not sure I'd want to pilot it for 1/4mile... Them shallow sponsons pack some air up top....

Nothing better then a nice fresh mix of gel.
Don't want to making moulds with gel that has been sitting around.

Their only mixing whats going out the door.

I got the pictures, Thank you.
Years ago I saw the boat at Clemmons shop and looked at the bottom. I still would like to see better pictures of the bottom. I cant remember in detail exactly what Wally did. I have a good idea, but want to be 100%. I know that I can get that boat close to 900 lbs in the water with a 200 lb driver. I think it would be untouchable.

Looking at the bottom it appeared that Wally added about 3/4" to 1" to the sponsons,
and about 1/8" to 1/4" to the pad...

I know the polecat was like driving a Flatbottom, wouldn't steer for nothing, LOL. Very quick for sure very few made, not sure I ever saw a STV with the shallow tunnels run. The Teal and white one may have been one but I'm not sure. Thanks for the info,

The teal/white one belonged to Robbie and it`s the STV drag that i spoke of. It had no handleing problems. Just get it linned up at the start and then hang on! Midrange was awesome and it kinda slid around a bit up top but i expected that.
It wasn`t light enough to be competitive in Outlaw at Jasper and would have been way more suited for modified production but the 12in mid wouldn`t allow that.

    Small Update!.
I have finished with the seat mold so it can be infused properly!
Built a frame, then faired it in, and Layed up some Tooling Gelcoat, now waiting for it to cure and I'll sand it down and Buff, shortly I'll pull a seat out, maybe on friday with Infusion.

    vacuum infusion

well here is my vacuum infusion on my seat!, turned out great very strong, used only 1 liter of epoxy, maybe less!

I got weight for my first race faring, I cut off all the extra fiberglass and did a weight.. it weighs 44 lbs. i know that may seem like much but it was my first layup.
    there are no imperfections either!
I have two seats done up now as well. one I added a little extra re enforcement, they are about 5 lbs a piece.
I layed up one seat and it is a big flexible however it is very strong, i can stand on it while its sideways!
the seats will be done shortly. I also am making another seat mold so I can infuse two seats at once.

    and two seats done!
one has a divini cell core for a seat base and one has plywood for a seat base. I want to see how both turn out. the divincell seat is exactly 4.2 lbs and the plywood seat is 5.1 lbs.
