    omc 120 vs 140

Just looking for some information on the differences between the 120 looper and the 140 looper.
I could be wrong but I always thought it was timing and carbs that were different.
I am looking to p/u a 120 to put onto my 83 140 mid and lower.

    Any help would be great.

A 120 is a looper. A 83' 140 is a crossflow. Won't be a direct swap. You'll need to at least swap the adaptor and shift shaft. Prop shafts might work

120 has a 5 pedal reed cage, 140 has 6. Also jets in the carbs are different. So you need the intake, reed cages and jets.
