Hell yea thats awesome im glad you went 3.0 I thought you were going 280. Looks perfect needs a skirt and you might want to go to a 1.62 eventually. If its a real 300 PM get atleast a 32 or your gonna bang limiter quick. Cool setup, I would think 100+ is in reach.

Kevin I did have the 280 but after weighing the boat at Jacks when I went to pick it up it was 1090 so after some thought I decided to go with a 3.0 and low and behold Quinton posted this motor up for trade for a 2.5 so we traded. The rev limiter was raised by simon and fattend up I guess up top as well. I have a 28 chopper but dont think thats going to be a good wheel for this boat and motor. Im thinking a 29 or 30 drag four to play with on the average day out. Ive got a 10" bobs hydraulic jack plate.

Rob I have a 30 drag 4 and a 34 et copy when your ready. More than welcome to use either at the Suwannee or for whatever. 34 might be a little tall but its a sweet prop for sure. I think Fullers marine has a 1.62 gear set cheap. I bought one and I think he had another left. Look up Venmous on here and shoot him a PM. Anyway id love to see that thing on the water. Awesome boat for sure

Thats cool quinton. The drag four 30 sounds like a good wheel for this rig for all around prop. I cant think about that yet though. I still have to make some more moneys for parts ect so Im doubtful it'll be done by the suwannee trip. Trust me I wish I could say right now i'll be ready by then. Im am however very excited to be this far along and progress so far.

you, and a lot other guys ,on this site have way more patience then i do, no way!! i can go weeks yet alone years,, to get my boat running if its not running i feel weak lol in my stomach

Ok its getting closer. Have the inside gel coated and webbed,interior trim around the sides is in, shifter mount and foot rest glassed in and the rub rail is installed. Have all the rigging ready to drill holes in the dash etc. Pics of the rigging coming soon. Im should have the two front bucket seat shells sent in a few days from Jack at Full Throttle Powerboats.

Ok well I started with a 280 that I traded to quinten for a 300 pro max. I then decided to sell him the 300 PM back and I bought a nice fresh 2.5 200 that was fresh rebuilt with a couple slight mods done from my neighbor. The reason I went with a smaller engine is because I had some major water damage and huge mold issue in my two bathrooms at my house and I need over $3,000 cash to remodel both baths completely. I fine with this because I was able to still get a fresh rebuilt motor and get the work done on my house. Two birds one stone. Heres a couple pics. The green tape on the dash is for laying out where the holes will be drilled.
