Its just that most if not all of us in the NE see SOB and think Linder design. Actually state 21-24. Could cover a lot of territory JMO

If going with the original, then a 19' boat is out of the race. OP said 21-24' single outboard hull. No specifics haha. Then again, that was 171 pages of thread ago, and 5 years ago

Now it's monohull / offshore ? Should there be deadrise limitations? Cuz i'll go to town on a flat bottom skiff haha. Seen those crazy Indians in the canoe's with snowmobile engines ???

Also said this so the 19 posted would probably handle the criteria. But yes...21 - 24 would put it out of contention for the OP.

These aren't all SOB necessarily but all fast. https://www.wavetowave.com/home/2017...-buy-right-now

I think it is more interesting to compare with equal power, whatever the HP is, say 250 or 300, to find the most efficient hull. We just need to have a popular race class with "stock" power and see who can build the best one.

The Tuff 24 is actually probably the fastest right now, even faster than the 21. A little narrower, can handle the bigger engines better. The weight of the hull is a critical factor obviously.

I would love to know how many new rigs have been bought during that 5 year span (probably 5)

    Just read this. https://www.wavetowave.com/home/2017...-buy-right-now
In answer to the question. Yes Rich Sutphen Jr. is still building the 21. His new shop is in Wantage NJ. This is his face book page https://www.facebook.com/pg/Sutphen-...=page_internal
I know his site is currently down. I'll have to ask him about that. I and many people I know have just been through hell with our sites as there are some recent changes in universalizing hypertext tagging protpcal (HTTP). I personally had to build a complete new site as my hosting company was going to PHP 7.0 from PHP 5.6. It's not cheap so maybe he's just using his facebook page for now but he is still in business.

  10. Thanks Greg G thanked for this post

The newest Chaudron 22 is looking fast even though the photos are not that good. Wonder what there speeds are now that the 300XS has been dialed in.

The boys from Canada are still at the top of The List with Tuff 21 speeds.

This is a new 2017 22 footer. Looks deep for it's size for sure.

Why demo w a 115 shoulda put a 200 so people get a idea of its high speed capability’s. No one that buys that boat is gunna b happy w 53. Whalers are faster jmo. If they put a 200 on it n was in the mid 70s that would b special w today’s 200s
