    Suwannee River Boat Ramp Map

I wanted to make a seperate thread for this map so its here for future events on the river

    Suwanee River Boat Ramps.

This is a map of EVERY boat ramp. It includes address and GPS coordinate information. I highly suggest everyone keep a copy in case you have a breakdown. It would be much easier to get to a ramp than get a tow for 35 miles.

The only two ramps I have used are Joe Anderson ramp in Fanning Springs (US-19 and the river) and the New Clay Landing Ramp. The New Clay ramp is about 11 miles south of fanning Springs if memory serves and a good ramp if your headed south and worried about fuel.
I have never used any of the ramps north of US-19 so if anyone has suggestions for good ramps, post the info.

Just click on the balloon for info about each ramp. The ones marked with red kayaks are obviously not for us!

Branford Park has two nice ramps and there is a nice ramp at Hart Springs too.

    Hi Guys,

I am the one that created that map back when I worked with Suwannee River Water Management. The main questions is where is everyone staying. There is a hotel in Branford, maybe two now, and you can get the longest run to the coast and the Town of Suwannee. The Branford ramp is the best, but the current can be tricky. If you are camping, then there is a KOA on the Dixie county side that has a ramp. You can also camp at New Clay Landing, but it is kind of a Redneck Riviera. Camping at Sandy Point is good and gives the best safety for your rigs. The ramp there is good also and if you talk with the folks there, they might let you keep all your boats tied up in the water. It will not be crowded in November. I believe Fanning Springs Park has cabins and Sandy point might also. There is a campground across the river from the Joe Anderson Ramp or pretty close to it also. Gas on the river is your biggest problem. I know they have it in the Town of Suwannee so you could fuel up in Branford and get gas down the river. Have you requested a river map from Water Management or a Suwannee Wilderness Trail map from Florida State Parks. Send me a msg at dfaircloth@live.com if you have questions. I lived there for years and know the area very well.

Most are staying in Chiefland and there have been many improvements to area ramps as well as new ramps which is really nice .Clay Landing is not bad at all for a rural one lane ramp . Thanks for your work in creating the map as it is and has been very helpful !

IF i launch a fanning i barely can make it to the fork, near ellyrays and back. think its 30 miles or so. rock bluff ramp is further north. but some of the ramps are pretty crude, wood, gravel and no dock. ill ask tom my 225 sucks the gas, and really need a bigger tank.
