the people that know this kind of stuff are going to want to know how much setback and propshaft to pad. A raker usually gives good lift though it may need to be cleaned up

You need to drop the jack a little at a time, 1/4 in works, and see if it gets better. I am not sure a raker makes a good surfacing prop unless someone did some work on it.

Is it a new Raker 24 or a used one. Has any work been done on the prop. Sometime they will stamp them with a ref. # if it has been repaired. I used to Setup a good many 180 VT Rocket when I worked a Summerville Marine back in the mid to late 80's. The 24 Raker did real good on those boats. we also sent a lot to D.H. to do his tricks and they always ran a lot better when we got them back. I dont remember the height we set the jack plate at its been some time. Do you run in the river ( Tailrace) or the Lake. We will be out there this Saturday if the weather is right. If you do stop by or PM me and I'll send you my cell #. I'll take a look.

Only when there was a problem with boat, transom, or Prop. Those raker's do not run good if one blade is bent just a little. If someone has worked on it that don't know what they are doing.
or setup. jackplate etc. I'll call you Thursday. around lunch if that is good. (12 or 1) I have a XR2002 I'm working on a little until summer is over. Then when winter gets here pulling it down to redo.84 HydroStream Vegas V8

Hi Matts94z28
That stratos is a 201 Pro Ski. His name is Edwin he just bought that rig for like 3500 something like that. He is a friend of mine. Got it from N. Charleston
It was in great shape. also Skip does good work you are right, we always sent our repairs there. Mike is a great guy..

Ahh, thanks for the info. I know that boat has been around since the days of my and my uncle riding around in the hydrostream (99-00). We actually ran into the old owner this weekend on the river. He is now in a wildman rigged liberator. Boy was there a bunch of drama over the liberator/STV race from the trussle to the no wake zone.
Mike did me right and was great on price. I would recommend him to anyone.
