Really cool photo of Mercury stackers

This was posted on Mercury Racing's Facebook page and I thought I would share. I thought this was extremely cool.

I do not know the history of this boat; if anybody does I would love it if they posted it. I know Norris would like this too.

Also, note the twin tie bars on the engines. I've never seen a setup like that before.

I found this old thread doing a search for Stacker. I saw this boat when it was for sale here in Alabama about 20 years ago. I have heard that John Sherlock still has it.

Rick, Rick, Rick--that's sweet music, not loud noise.

MercNuts--same era, but I am pretty sure not the same boat as Norris come Sherlock's. That thread said it was a glass Kitson, and the side deck by the transom is pretty steep. The boat Greg posted appears to be wood, and flatter side deck.

By the way, look at the lifting ring coming up off the transom--tiny little piece of metal.
    Per Rock:

"Once I bought my first Hydrostream boating changed forever for me."

    Per my hero Instigator:

"I try not to let common sense interfere w/my boat buying decisions."

The black boat of John Sherlocks is definately a glass Kitson and the one that Greg pictured is wood and I believe a Molinari.
