Rejetting after airbox cover removal?
Do I really need to rejet my 175johnson after removing the airbox cover?
I've ported my mainfold as well as reedcages, and added intakestuffers and carson reeds. My engine has clearly got more power, althought it seems to be in the need of more air. I made a testrun without airbox cover and without cowling... The engine seemed more alert and made a couple more miles. Unfortunately I didn't check my plugs after the run.
What do you guys think, can I continue driving without airbox cover? Or do I need to rejet? The engine is limited to 5800 something.

you need to check your plugs--clean cut from wide open--
But after doing any mods I would always go up on the jets and check plugs.
better safe than sorry.
