Proping a 260
What's the rpm's required for a 260 when selecting prop pitch? My 280 was between 7200 to 7500.

Don't know the year have to run the numbers, I think its a early model because the throttle plate has the hole in it and has no adjustment. I will be running the digital A-48 on it.

What boat? If on a xb2002 go with a 28p. But I personally like a 26 with more response.

I Agree With Malexie .
Aslo depends on what king of running your going to be doing .
For river running on a tighter twisty river aboulutly the 26 pitch prop .
Lake running or where your going to be holding it open for longer periods of time a 28 to 30 pitch .
Remember , just because it will turn 8500 -9000 rpm doesn't mean you want to hold it there all day .
The higher you turn the motor , the sooner you will be reringing , or worst .
