How much paint?
Sirs,
How much paint is required for two original Offshore 2.5 260 EFI's, two Bob's lifter's (10" approx) and two 36" tabs (epoxy prime, base coat and lacquer)?
Regards,
Mark.Last edited by putt-putt; 03-29-2012 at 05:47 PM.

If you sand too far and go down to the metal anywhere, you might want to use a metal etch primer in those areas. Then I would use a single stage eurethane. If your not changing the color...I see no reason to prime it. I'm sure that others will have opinions as well.

Are you painting any fiberglass or plastic cowlings/parts?Last edited by hemi2005; 03-30-2012 at 03:06 PM.

Anything plastic needs to have an adhesion promoter (or) flex agent. If any part is made from fiberglass you will need epoxy primer or similar product, but only if you sand through to the glass.

A gallon should be way more than enough.
