Fast fishing cats.....
Gents,<O</O
<O</O
I’m looking at buying a fast catamaran fishing boat that can handle a bit of blue water and bar crossings, not just bays/flats etc.<O</O
<O</O
I’m looking in the 18-20’ range with say a 200hp – 250hp or 60-70 mph.<O</O
<O</O
I like the look of the FastCat C20 http://www.bwbmag.com/output.cfm?ID=943291<O</O
<O</O
Or the SeaCat Comet 20 http://www.seacatboats.com/models-205.asp<O</O
<O</O
Preference would be a centre console style rather than bass boat style. <O</O
<O</O
Also are there any other similar boat builders???
Your thoughts........
<O</O
Thanks.<O></O>

This is my Liberator, great boat for the flats and takes the rough water well. If you are interested it could be converted to bay boat style counsle/seating really easy.

Hi DonG,
Thanks for your reply, the liberator’s don t have high enough sides for me. I will sometimes need to cross bar entrances into the ocean. <o></o>
Thanks for the reply, cracker boat!

Lachie:
Give Errol Lanier a call LANIER CUSTOM BOATS (LCB) 954 922 6110 , he is just finishing up a customers 2012, and he has a very clean 2005 loaded for sale.
I have we been owning and running the Fast Cat and LCB's for over 10 years now I have done just about everything in mine, and a little more. The boat fishes very well .In fact I am fishing a tournament this Saturday at Lake O . I run off Ft Lauderdale, Miami and the Florida Keys. It does like the big lakes and rivers too, In my option it is one of the best all around boats that is under 21 feet and handles incredibley and easy to drive.
I will be glad to share my experience with you.

I've ridden in the lcb and can tell u they handel very well. In the upper key it gets real snotty and that boat rode like a champ. Simmons custom boats here in Houston also make a very nice cat with a center console but don't think the would do well offshore.

The Bottom of the LCB is a derivative of a Cougar Offshore Race boat that handled rough water really well, Thats why Errol built it that way. You can notice the tunnel is deeper than all cats in it's class.
