don't know what came with boat but on props for sale there is a 27p 4-blade SHOOTER for $125 that will work for now, can't beat the price for a all-around prop...

that prop is 13 1/4 X 27p will give you good bottom end and midrange just a little short on top end, should spinn up 6000 rpm with little steering torque, a good place to start for cheap...

Get a cone on that so you can raise that motor. That boat will chine walk bad if the motor is too low. You won't be able to control it with the speed that power will push it. If you're going to use it before putting a cone on it, that 27 shooter mentioned above would work well and be a good spare or all around prop to cruise with with. Once it's set up right, get a 30 SRX.

Knotsafe just curious if you got the boat recently? A friend left me a message recently about one for sale on Montauk highway.

You'll have trouble controlling it until you set it up right. That simple. Not an easy boat to control with the best setup, almost impossible without.

Last year I ran the exact same rig. The 27 SRX wasn't enough prop. With nosecone, would still run up to 64-6500 rpm. Just got a 30 pitch Hoss Triton that I think will be just about right. Start with a 30 Srx or Hoss and go from there. You might want to consider some of Sam Jenkins solid mounts also.

If he's not running a cone, then a 30 is too much prop, that motor will have to be set too low to benefit from a surface prop, then he'll lose holeshot. If it could turn it, it will blow out or chinewalk to the point that it will throw him out of the boat. Set up is 1st priority.

yea i just picked up the boat a few weeks ago in freeport. and to be honest i have the motor up pretty high for no nose cone but it runs well like that and the water pressure is still up there so it seems safe on how high i have it. im turning way to high on rpm's with this 26 4 blade but nice to run around the bay with. and i would like to turn a thirty before i get my setup only because i would love to have my cruising speed high at a low rpm.. only bad thing is my motor mounts are a little shot have a little play and im kind of nervous to try and pull the powerhead people tell me its a can of worms. and last question with the right setup and right prop what kind of speeds should i be expecting???

Solid mounts are a must if you want to go fast. Set up right, solids, tight steering, proper engine height, right prop and cone with lwp, should get you into mid 80's
