Official 6th Annual Illinois River Run Thread

Thought I'd get an official thread going, not to take away from the other but it didn't really get off the ground!

So same format as before, Pekin ramp at 10am for launch, run ~16mi south to Rocks cabin. Run around all day with good folks, eat till ur stupid fat, a few games etc. BYOB as usual. Generally we bring our own meat but this year I'd offer up my culinary skills to smoke a pork butt/shoulder and maybe a brisket on Rocks smoker. Let me know what y'all think and I'd just ask for a little chip from everyone to cover the cost of meat. Also, as always, a side to pass would be appreciated but not manditory.

Now, what date do we want? My suggestion is July 21. What y'all think?

Won't miss it unless something unavoidable comes up. I love seeing all the cool boats and watching everyone air them out. I was told the 4 petal ported reed cages have been installed. Now to just find time to get the SVS on and figure out where to mount my ECU.

Ernie, I will probably be running up to pick the boat up at MarkTwain Sunday. Not sure how far away that is for you but I just might drop it in for a short run if the weathers right.

Nathan, your PM inbox is full. I like your idea and will run it past Rock before I make any announcements. If you want help with the SVS or the ECU mount give me a holler, we can knock it out in a morning and be running by afternoon!

So here's the deal guys. Rock and I discussed smoking some meat for lunch. It's up to you guys. If you want it let us know and I'll do it. Nathen suggested that I give out my PayPal account and you guys can pay me for meat that way. Whatchall think?

Nathen you get the ECM harness and hose yet?

My boat is off the trailer right now, complete trailer overhaul. 7 of the 10 bunk supports were rotten, one confirmed set of wheel bearings junk, brakes are no more on the trailer, they were totally toast. Going to give it a nice rattle can spray job too.
