    Question Audio help....???

I am looking to run 4 speakers off an AMP. Currently have an Alpine F300 putting out 4x50 RMS and would like to use that but I am open to up-ing the power with a bigger amp if the better speakers need more then 50RMS

I have 3.25-3.5 Inches max mount depth to work with and want opinions on the best speaker for the money. I don't mind spending extra money if it is worth it long term. I hear JL are the best but I know big names also sometimes overcharge..

Can I get some input from guys who know their marine audio?

    Speakers

Planet Audio, but not sure if they offer marine components or not. Concept is a awesome speaker also but not sure about the marine applications.. Concept is expensive though..

JL is usually the way to go. Spend more now, save more later. I thought Clarion speakers would hold up, until I installed a pair of 6.5 components and they took a dump in about a year.

I am going to be in strictly salt water so I want durable but I feel that salt will eat anything so I am nervous about spending alot of $ on JL's..the JL 6.5's are about 240$/pair where as Kicker or Infinity 6.5's are under 100$/pair for same RMS wattage..

Do the JL have better corrosion resistance+sound quality?

I just put two jl 6.5 and two 7.7. Everyone that has seen them always responds with "damn you went all out,or you get what you pay for, or yeah jl is top of the line." I can't personally vouch for them yet, but a lot of high end boats I see have them. Research it more online first.

The 6.5's sound good. The 7.7's sound even better. And they are coming out with 8.8's soon. We tried to put the 7.7's all the way around, but they wouldn't really fit up front so we went with the 6.5's up front and 7.7's in the back.
