Pro ET vs Bravo I XS

Hey guys. I'm in the process of propping out my Xtreme with a 250SHO. Loaded with 35 gallons of gas, a couple batteries, normal gear and a 200lb buddy I got 74.4 out of her with a 28P Bravo I XS at 5500 rpms. It felt like I could have got more RPMs out of her before she got too squirrely. I Turned a 27 Fury 5600 and only got 72.9 out of it but it was a much more pleasant ride. I've heard the Pro ET is supposed to be a better handling prop than the Bravo so I ordered one in a 28P. Now I'm having second thoughts on the pitch; thinking maybe I should have got a 26 to get the most out of it when I'm fully loaded. I just didn't want to be under-pitched when I'm running empty. What do y'all think?

i'd think you may have a hard time getting an over hub prop onto plane with that SHO mota. too much exhaust venting.

very curious as to how it does on your boat! keep us informed.

Sounds good Euroski. I appreciate it.
@steve: I HEARD guys were using Pro ETs on CC's down here until they started chunkin' blades. I guess they've got it figured out now. I heard that the holeshot is terrible on them. Unfortunately it's ??backordered?? or has to be built?? Won't be shipped until the 13th or so. I'll let you know how it runs when I get it.

Shouldn't be a problem running a PRO ET on your rig.I have both a pro et and a brave1xt,both are good wheels but I like the Pro ET better, you are right about your rpms I lose about 300rpms even thou I raise the motor higher with the Pro ET,Which handles better and is more efficent

So the ET is a lil harder to turn? If so i definitely need the 26. I'll give her hell when it gets here and see what I can get out of it.

I had a 25P Fury that I just sold to a guy in Houston for his bass boat. I still have a 21P Keith Hartsell Lifter that is a little worn but would be a great prop for someone running a 225 and carrying a heavy load.

With the Lifter, ran 67, empty with my 250 HPDI. Ran 64 and change with me +3, an 85qt Yeti full of beer and a full tank of gas. Loved that prop. Wore it a little and it was hard to keep from banging the rev limiter with it.

Sorry for late relpy, Mom was is hospital but doing well for being 88+. On my 22 cougar the proET 28 is 2mph faster than the 28 bravo1xs. ProEt takes longer to get out of the hole. I would think the reworking the bravo1xs would be just as fast as the ET

My prop was waiting on me when I got home today.... way ahead of schedule. Only thing is, I'm not sure if it's a Lap or Pro finish. I know what the box says, but is there any way to tell by looking at the prop?

Also picked up a lightly used 26P Bravo I XS locally for cheap .... running them on Friday. I'll let you know what I find out.

The pro is polished, the lap is satin finish. Bushmaster a little much to protect your prop, no
