Paul, I gotta agree here. Lets back up to "lubrication", (damn, any oil better than none, RIGHT?) My take, is the most ya can screw up, is to FORGET TO ADD OIL! Getting tired, the "this oil, that oil, etc. All it really amounts too, is this oil, that oil, (2 strokes)...Da best?. As long as ya have some, ya fine. Most maybe a fouled plug, not burn clean..(middle finger EPA!).
Ya wanna know what I think, look at these "wonder's, "fix in a can" crap. Think Lucas kid, running NHRA T/F now? Dad, and "Lucas oil additive"..HA the punk can't get down 1000 feet, with out blowing the motor up. Sorry, been at 2 stokes for 6 decades now, again, any oil better than none!
OH yeah, have a workhorse ..1991 Astrovan, 4.3 V-6 , with now 250,000 miles, nothing but cheap "Dino Oil", and Fram filters...every 3000 ..zero probs it, motor....
