450+ would have made it very close to the motor Wart used to set the record. Are you sure the power was really that high?

If Dave Bush can make 450hp with a 3.3 v6 on pump gas at 7500rpm there is plenty of margin for a v8 to be higher.

Imagine what that thing could do with similar funding as the other top level teams.

Does anybody know what ever happened to the red 191 Molly Jimbo ran with the V-6? It should be on display somewhere. That would be cool.

ID:	259310lars those were the days and the little 3 cyl evinrudes jut flew!!!!

I can only say I did 1/4 mile with my 3 cyl, but won almost every single race against inline mercs, v-4 looper omcs on allisons and any bass or jet boat they paired me with!!!!!!

keep the pictures and the stories coming...the story about the racing buddy, that lent you the prop that was "your" prop is what racing was all about for me!!!!

I remember one time our nitrous bottle had a problem so we went to a blown fuel nitrous arias hemi drag boat owner and asked to borrow his nox bottle. He said wheres your drag boat???? we pointed over to the 12 footer and he said your kidding, but did walk over and he saw we were squirting , for real....he lent us his tank and he and the crew came up to the starting line to watch the low class little outboards....... and we pulled another guy that had a jet boat with a 454 chevy in it, and won the race.....about 50 people came over to our pit to take a look at the little boat that beat the big jet!!!! what a great fun day.......we ran a seebold 25 inch cleaver and it turned 8500 rpm with the open exhaust and the modified sst 60 gearcase.....abou 84 mph...
