I thought Farmer liked the way it ran now and he was going to run it next year?

Next years Boat is on the way!

He is making a new boat.
It really needs reastoration and he would rather make another one with some refinements.

    Interested

Just wondering where you are located and whether you can deliver?
What needs to be restored? How much work will it be? Is the boat sea worthy or sink like a rock?
what is the best price you think you can give me?

    Thumbs up

Been to a few APBA hydro races and these boats look like a blast!! They haul ass!! The ones that I saw were runing yamoto engines. I think they are like a 15hp modified to the max? Not sure dont remember. One of the racers told me and my dad that the chinese government owns and makes all the yamotos. It is like grey hound racing over there. They have big arenas and people bet on boats. At the end of every year they destroy the motors so for the next season no one has an advantage. I do not know how much of this is true but that is what we were told. Does any one know if this is true?

    That's sweet

i think their called Yamamoto, might be yamoto not sure. If you go to a site that they sell kits for hydros like this usually they sell these chinease engines there.

    Yamato

Yamatos are made in JAPAN by a private company that bids on the sale to the Japanese racing congolmerate. We would call the conglomerate a semi-private company here in the US.

Yamatos are raced in various configurations in the US. Most of them race stock out of the box @ 36 hp. On a long course this means speeds near 80 mph. Just last fall the guy who holds the ultimate outboard record of 176+ mph, set a new record with his Yamato at a little over 82 mph on a special straightaway hydro.

I think Alex may be correct, there are probably links to the guys that sell Yamatos on Mason's or Sorenson's sites.

    Yamato link

I'll change the link to a better one later today
