Your not getting old --the price is silly and when the economy begins to surge downwards --you'll fnd out what they are really worth. High performance boating unfortunately is on its way out. The warning signs have been here for years--bet boats are really really cheap in greece.

They are worth what ever the market will pay for them--and the market for 20k motors is shrinking as is the economy, hence the long term trends for both are headed lower. I made this point 4 years ago. Fast cars boats etc will not do well over the next 5 years.

Your statement is very true, except that the next 5 years is already here. Look online at all of the high $$$ boats for under $100k now. I should know, the 30' Skater that I spent over $400k on new in '05 is now probably only worth $150k if I needed to sell it. However, there will always be those with money that don't mind spending big $$$ on new stuff. Our economy has just gone back to the way I remember it growing up as a kid - you seldom saw $100k+ boats, cars, airplanes, etc...........

That is a pretty big surprise Rayzor. Sure you can modify the lower unit, but after paying $18,000 for a 200XS ROS it would be nice to get the skeg you want on your 2.5 Sporty! Sounds like the 2.5 Lowers are also pretty much cast to order?

Yes, I was very surprised also. But while Lisa was on the phone with me discussing the issue, she put me on hold while she checked with Rick, and she said that he told her it is the only way the right hand comes (with the torque tab lower).

Why not add a torque tab to the left hand motors skeg?

With counter-rotating twins, there is no need for torque tabs.

Dont worry, they will be a claimed 280 hp next year, for only a couple grand more, lol.
