which jack to purchace and rig

Need help deciding on a hyd jack for my 92 flightcraft/200xs ros combo. Already have an offshore pump in the boat so could mabey use that to also power a 4" bob's extreme or stainless marine gorilla 3 plate through a trim/lift shuttle valve. TH marine's atlas also looks to be a good self contained option. Could use some advice from experienced users/riggers of HD hyd jacks. Lots of freshwater/offshore style abuse coming to it. Some pics of my rig on pages 6 and 7 in LOW EMMISSIONS-new race models thread.

After lots of research I went with a Bob's Extreme for my boat and OMC V8. Yet to rig and use it though it has arrived and looks to be very well made.

the atlas has a transom plate height of only 12.5" which would fit better on my boat. leaning that way now. 46lbs, can get a holeshot plate as well.

I noticed a digital guage kit is available, wonder what kind of pain that will be to install. I will remove the smartcraft trim guage from the dash- that I ordered prior to getting the ROS which has no trim sender anyway and replace it with the lift guage. Then have to install the switch and sender unit. Hoping the jackplate harness has a connector for the guage option as well.

jack showed up, all good only 5" of lift not 6". Parker HYD pump assembly, nice wide stance on the motor side with the support rods placed to the outside. Gathering up some hardware and fittings, got some old motor bracket holes to fill in the transom, then hopeful to rig, test and post some results.

I did run some #'s on a few props so should have decent data. 4.5" of setback on this unit, guage kit and magnetic sender showed up. I'm sure the sporty will respond well to being picked up, efficiency and speed should as well. Lots of work to do first.

Got the boat torn down, test fit the jack, gonna fill some old motor bracket holes, level up straighten out the contact area between the jack and transom. was able to use new motor holes to mount the jack so no more drilling. unit operates smooth, came apart nice and easy
