You may want to put a couple horizonal braces going across at about the top of the upper bolt holes for the motors. Lotta stress out in the big water. About where the top of your hole in the knees.

One thought I had while looking at your layout (though I am sure you have been through this) is that the generator is right next to the master... maybe get annoying while trying to sleep if you have it running??1986 Laser 380 comp- being re-done... slowly...

I don't like removing the outer skin when rebuilding a transom, however this was a different situation. For a bulletproof secondary bond I like to use a product called AT PRIME2. It actually provides a chemical bond when performing a secondary bond. I made some test panels to see if it made a big difference and I was sold. I learned of the product when doing some skater tanks. Peter sold it with the tank kit. A must when a good secondary bond important. Here is a link to the product. http://www.reichhold.com/documents/841_ATPRIME2.pdf
The transom will also get wrapped on the outside with a few layers and epoxy. This will also prevent blisters in the future. I have confidence that this transom will last a lifetime..... Boat will painted at the end. Here are some more random pics of the build. Pics show the twin 300 gal fuel tanks made from 1/4 inch alum and then coated with coal tar epoxy. Foamed in........

Cauley, you probably should have bought the resin in a 55 gallon drum.

Every time I have bought a 55 drum I end up wasting alot of resin. The last bit in the drum tends to gel over and becomes worthless. If you buy a drum, you need to use it pretty quick. Especially in the summer. Or need to store it in a climate controlled room... I usually buy a couple of 5 gal pales at a time.....
Yes, it will cost a lot to fuel up. However, you can go a very long way. Hoping for 1,200 - 1,500 mile range.Cawley

Thanks, It was alot of work, the starboard side midships was burned to the waterline..... couple of suggestions to think about, 1. full size refrigerator, very handy, 2. Inverter/charger, to run 110v stuff. I've got a 2.5kw inverter run with a bank of batteries, main engines charge batteries, will run the refrigerators 6-8 hrs before needing charge. It's a charger also, works great. Don't have to run genset except to run A/C units.
