Based on the serial number you provided. It is a 1984.

Thanks Bud, I appreciate the help/information. Is there a web site or a parts site that you use to get the information on year and models?

There Are some out there but you can't always rely on the information being correct all the timer.

I have access to a dealer link as needed.

Thanks again bud, I have another thread going mabey you could help with? I have used the wrong stator and installed a 174-5456A32 Insted
of the correct one for my motor. I didn't have the Serial # with me when i bought it and left went and got the serial # because I switched Mid sections
and called to verify that it was the right one for my motor and the guy that sold it to me said yes it was the one i needed. The correct one that came
off my motor was a 174-5456A6. Unfortunatly i burnt up several switch boxes before realizing what was wrong. Now since i can't return the stator
i would like to use it becauce the extra juice but i need help to find out which regulator and rectifier i need to run to make this work on my motor.
Thanks Again for your help, It it greatly appreciated.
