    Mercury 250hp 2001 Fuel Pump

Trying to order a new fuel pump for a 2001 250hp EFI Mercury but the part number is coming up as obsolete....
Part number is 809088T. I cant see it superceding to another number...

Is there a new part number? What are my options here...
Also last list price was $769.07 Sounds a little over the top... Considering my 2.5 EFI pump is around the $200 mark...

I just replaced my 94 2.5 and that number sounds the same off the top of my head- I did find Mr Fuel Pump on the .net and better prices on Bosch stuff - my dealer did have a used one though and it worked. I haven't found anything for them under $300

I tried Mr Fuel Pump, some of the bosch pumps look like they will suit the Laser type merc EFI, but nothing that looks like my 3.0L pump.

    Any other suggestions??

    Anyone??

usually when newer merc parts go obsolete, its because merc has changed it. ex;tried to order rect/regulator on 8yr old motor. found out - fed. recall because that part overheats & starts a fire. result---even after 4yrs out of warrantee merc paid for replacement kit and labor. back in the 60s/70s/80s only omc would have done this. one for the little guy
