    Need help with trailer knowledge

I am looking at a newer tandom axle trailer to replace my single axle aluminium.
Right not my axle is 45.5" from the back of the trailer. I believe this is the center of gravity on my boat. Does this have to be the measurement from the rear of the trailer to the center of the two axles to keep it from fish tailing? I also need to add this new trailer I am looking at is 2 foot longer than my old one.
Thanks in advance for any and all help with this issue.

I am no trailer expert, but changing from a single axle trailer to a dual axle trailer, two feet longer, would make almost all the measurements from the old trailer useless.

Make sure the tow vehicle is level. Then level the trailer with the height of the hitch. A very general rule of thumb is about 10% of the total weight of the trailer is on the tongue.
