2.5 midsection ?
I have a 2.5 mid that has a tuner an the can removed , , an I seen that mercury offer's a block off plate to keep ext from going threw the lower unit , an Im going to drill out the mid to make it like a vp mod, , any thought on the pro's an con's of the block off plate ?

Block off plate? Are you talking about a block off plate on an offshore to block off flow thru the rear snout?
I know of no such block off plate to remove exhaust flow thru the carrier.
FYI: I tested that when I was drag racing and it didn't work. The prop MUST have the exhaust bubbles to relieve the engine of the total prop load. A prop that has NO exhaust flow venting it cannot be turned easily even with a Drag motor..

Monday when i get to work I will post part number an i pic of it , basically you remove the lower unit an it bolts in place here the can comes threw , an yes I also have Question about running an off shore mid , I have a Vking yt an want to know if i can run a 15 inch off shore mid?

Bay Area , I have a tuner , i read what I posted an it confused me too , LOL , There is no can I removed it an installed a tunner.
