Very nice !!! I will keep that in mind as I'm looking for pair 300 xs any length to plop powerhead on in place of my STR 375 when fuel hits 5 bucks a gallon . Is there any more gain with new or cut tuner with your mods on 300 XS ?

300xs Tuners
We are very dialed in on our level 1 300xs upgrade that is bolt on parts only..We have found 30 ft lbs of additional tq. and have a tune dialed in for the level 1 parts. We are now going through the long process of testing and building tuners..a pain to change but if they work well worth it. I can tell you at this point if you change the tuner at all ....mapping is required. It might be possible we find a tuner that has been found to produce questionable results although with proper mapping it could be great. Again Merc has their **** together. We will be on this for a few weeks as it is very time consuming to on an off tuners as well as build prototypes. We will get to the bottom of this and if stock is best...so be it.
We have the 300xs running well...possibly as good as the 300x with awesome fuel consumption. Please stay tuned...we will only release proven products.
Thanks,

yes. We are developing as we can get engines. This particular engine is one that i am partial to because it is used in F1. Merc has done a great job with all this product and we are working at a hard to believe pace/ level to upgrade what they have already done.

We have made great progress with the 300xs. we have spent thousands of dollars and hundreds of ours learning this new technology and and are actually making performance gains without sacrificing reliability.
The stock xs made 307 hp and the same 307 tq stock...Mercury again doing what they say.
This engine is awesome. Quiet , tons of tq, and great on fuel. We are making a bit better.
As of last week we are at 335 hp and 338 tq...quite a noticeable gain in the seat.
We are almost ready to ship production kits that include a carbon cowling
mod, velocity stack , cnc aluminum 6 lb. flywheel and a new ecu map with cleaner trims and raised limiter. Price is under 2000 per engine. Please call if you have questions..We are very happy with our progress and will soon release videos and gps results. Please call 928-680-6655

Larry
I had a long and very interesting conversation with Dave last week, turns out Dave and I have a similar past, a passion for two strokes and whole group of similar contacts and friends.. We both spent a lot of time in the AMA as motorcycle tuners. We even spent a few minutes talking outboards...
During that conversation he explained that they have a brand new carbon vent ( intake) that is grafted to the front of the cowling where the mercury "M" is, it's designed to increase airflow as well as equalize pressure under the cowl. Hope this helps
