I have two of Eric's flywheels. DBR offers a few different versions of the aluminum one. He has one called a 300x version that is really light but you will experience the motor stalling from time to time while shifting. He has a 300xs version that is still about 3-4lbs lighter than the lightned steel version and no stalling. Depending on how you run the boat it is something to consider. Also there is no real HP gain with just the flywheel. Only some quicker reving. I have both Eric's and Daves versions and like the DBR ones the best. Also with the DBR you have no rust issues and they are balanced really good. Just my two cents.

So does that lightened flywheel improve performance on a 300X...?

DBR has two styles of flywheels, a 6lb version, and a 10lb version, the 300xs stock weighs approx 18lbs.

I've been trying to call DBR for the past couple of days and get no answer. Even Joe's voice mail box is full and won't take any more messages. I had heard that Dave had gotten hurt in a motocross accident . Hope everything is well over there.
