Roll on rhino lining on boat floor????
Instead of painting or putting indoor-outdoor carpet in my boat floor i thought bout putting the roll on rhino lining on the floor. But my question about that is will the rhino lining stick to a fiberglass flooring?????

...That's a good idea...I used Dupli-color Spray on bedliner on the bow (lower hull) imitating a scuff guard for "kid's boat"...it has lasted 3 summers so far...I am impressed...especially since it is in the water all the time and beached often...Prep your floor like the directions tell you and IT WILL STICK...lol...I would re-think the roll-on...I think the spray-on is more manageable and you have way more control coverage wise...especially on corners and contours...just sayin...excellent idea tho..!...probably lighter and more sound deadening than carpet too...

Another trick to think about is the roll on gel coat non skid. Just rough up the surface clean and degrease then roll on some gel coat with a 3/4 nap roller, let it go off and then hit the tops of the points with some wet sanding. This makes for pretty good non-skid and you can match the color of the interior.

I put bedliner on the decks of my boat. It was a black spray in similar to Line-X.
Yes, black does get hot in the sun. As far as weight it would be hard to get lighter than dry carpet but carpet can hold some water and sand. If you spray the bedliner on light and don't build it like a pickup bed it will be fairly light, after all you aren't sliding boulders around in your boat so you don't need the full protection. The texture of the bedliner makes it so you just can't wipe dirt/sand off completely and sometimes a pressure washer is needed to fully clean it. Also the texture will start to hurt your knees if you kneel a lot.Quartermaster

Something else to think about, http://www.kiwigrip.com/ . The guy at the dock next to me used this, looks good and he said it was very easy to apply.

I did my CJ7 with a do it yourself spray in bed liner that I learned about on jeepforum.com. It is called Raptor liner. That is the favorite product among the guys on that forum. http://www.tptools.com/p/2600,233_U-...Liner-Kit.html There is black, and there is a tintable version. Comes with the gun. My Jeep came out pretty sweet, looks like a $500 professional job
