78 235 trim and tilt work on 88 vro 110?

The 235 on the back of my baja 180ss broke a ring and scored the cylinder wall beyond
repair.I have an 88 110 that is missing the trim and tilt.I was wondering if I could swap
the trim and tilt off the 235.Thanks, Jason

You will have to do some electrical adapting as well. The 78 motor is a 3-wire motor and uses a remote control box which mounts under the boat's rear splashwell. The 88 trim electrical is setup for a 2 wire motor with two trim relays in a box that mounts on the engine.
