Sarasota is awesome. If you like boating year-round, that's a great place to be.

Just finished a week on Siesta Key/Sarasota. Great area for boating, fishing and the arts. We've been going down there for several years and don't plan to go anywhere else.

I've had a place in the Sarasota (Cortez, Bradenton Beach) area since 1997 & LOVE it. The cost of living is very reasonable also. Scott

I lived there and it was great. Nice boating for big boats 20+ year round. I ran a Mirage RR in the bay on weekdays with no wind. Super great people and excellet area except north by MLK of course.

Im just south of downtown Sarasota (20 miles). Love it here. Venice is a slower pace with less traffic and better access to the water IMO. 35 minute drive to downtown Sarasota. Lower cost of housing as well. Sarasota bay and the Gulf are the only areas you can legally run over 25mph though...but we have our fun
