Bi and Tri Colored Accent lights??

Anyone seen these and know if there are affordable versions yet???
They're pretty trick. The builder I used to work for mounted them in the hard top of a customers boat. About 2" diameter and when you click the switch it goes from white to red and then a 3rd color.
I want to use them in the cuddy and cockpit of the Sonic but not @ the $160. per that I'm finding them at.
Anyone know of a cheap version??
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

    Have you looked at these?

Looks like they're individual strips, though...

Boat's looking great btw... I need to go out and fire mine up on the hose, it's been awhile.

yeah and I like them but don't really have a place to mount them. Small areas in cockpit but no where in the cuddy. Thanks too. Getting close enough now that the Mrs is the one pushing May float it for pix's next wk. Just ordered speakers for it too. I'm going to mount remote speaker plug's in the lounge base (maybe) so I can stick speakers on the motor covers for when we're backed into the beach. The old boat we just blasted the stereo which didn't work very well (speakers low in cockpit and facing forward) and then when you went to the boat you got blasted out. Did it on an old cruiser I had and loved it. Probably use suction cups on the speaker bottoms to stick to the cowlings. Heck, maybe leave them there while running and play a tape of 2.5's screaming their guts out

The strip LED lights can be found at lighting design shops, they are common under cabinet and in cabinet lights and are 12vdc.

That's a great idea...mine is the same way, and have been thinking of a way to accomplish this...

I'm also getting together some ideas on a portable speaker box per say for an ipod to put on the Allison.

Try J.C.Whitney.com. I bought strip lighting and flexible strip lighting from the, for my boat cabin and cockpit. They have been on the boat since 1995 and still working.

    Cool site, thanks.
Still not quite what I'm looking for. I don't have any over hang to hide the string/rope LED's so I need either very small surface mount or flush mounts.
Here's what I'm looking for but even on e-bay they're still $119. per. Check out the pic's, they are very trick. I played w/them on a boat at night and was way impressed. White for looking at charts and such, red to do so while under way and blue (or red) for mood/accent lights at rest.
If I only used 2 in the cockpit and two in the cabin I'm still @ almost $500.!
Must be new enough that there's no cheap knock off's yet.

    Retail is about $200. per!
I'm probably just going to install two sets of the small, single color units. Can get them for a couple bucks a piece and w/different colored bulbs. Put a double throw switch at the dash and one side will be the white lights and other will be red.
