    2 much water psi a problem on a 280?

    i put a drag type tunner on my 280 with the water drains restrcd alot 2day had 45 psi but wouldnt run after it got up and going. is this a problem with the psi switch having 2 much water psi like the 280s do when thay have 2 less? took the restrecters out 2nite but hadnt drove it yet. ran perfect befor the change. just wondering????

    I build allot of dry stacking systems for 280's, they can have issues with heat as well as cold water temps. 45 psi ( if your gauge is accurate ) is WAY to high, the only way you can create that kind of pressure is the spent water that should be leaving the block after heat exchange is being restricted.

    You will need to pull the power head and put the dump holes back to "normal" size ( approx 3/8" ) or the motor when running in summertime heated lake water can fail...

    i just pulld em out 2nite but wuz 2 dark 2 try it; it would just start bucking and bogg down. hope that wuz the isue.find out 2marrow.thank u
