    need help on how fix cattywalk

    just put my 90 mercury inline six on my 14ft pisces boat and took it for a test run. it run and plain out fine but once i got to bout half throttle it would start rockin side to side so i shot the gas to it. wen i did that it would rock side to side harder and faster i couldnt even hold it had to let off so i really never got past half throttle does any one no or have any ideas how to get it to stop that?

    Thats called chine walk. If you raise the motor it might go away. Watch your water temp and pressure. JMO

    i dont have a water temp or pressure gage yet. but i have the calvitating fin bout 2 inches under the bottm of the boat

    yep take it up if your going old school and going by cav plate height start it at 2.5 inches above
    but you are going to have to watch the water pressure and or the pisser

    ima run the anti-ventalation plate level with the bottom of the boat fisrt and see how it does. but it was chinewalkin bad bout half throttle. guess my motor to low causin air to get under the boat. man thanks for help i can us all i can get to get my boat where i can hold the coals to it. born and bred for speed.

    i dont have tilt and trim my brushes in my motor went out so i running with out it. runningoff pin adjustment but i believe my motor is still to high.

    The Hydrostream Vector that was running with the Allisons at the Palatka Drags had a small pneumatic ram trim tab that kept the hull from "Torque-rolling" at the launch and then relased from a electric vent solenoid [with a button on the wheel] after it planed off. He powered it with one of those tiny 12 volt air compressors. It launched flat every time.
