    mercury 300 drag

    a63 ecu, jay smith flywheel, cryo treated, single ring pistons, 1 inch spacer, low hours probably no more than 15. can bought with choice of heads. no exactly sure of the year modle but its a pre eye brow motor. i am asking $6500 thanks 601-508-4310 SOLD!!!!!!

    i ran it on an allison xr2001 rr compression is pretty even i recently put a set of 21cc heads on it an all 6 are around 210lbs. i dont have any leakdown numbers.

    In, I think, 2003 the Drag motors went to an "eyebrow" shaped exhaust port. Just has a little more arch in the top of it for lack of better terms. Hard to tell from the pics but it looks like this motor is probably a 96 or 97 model

    i think it is older than that, or a 260 block.. i have a drag, production date 1-24-97, and its a big bearing and it has the casting in the block for a alt.
    pull the head and measure the exhaust port. should be around 1.500 +/- usually + a couple thous. if it is a drag.

    I didn't think they started casting the alternator bosses into the block until late '98 (for the '99 first year 280's)?
