I don't know how much an engine cost in the united states, but in quebec, montreal, a 150 hp, ho or pro xs with jack plate, propeller, cable, with taxes (quebec taxes it is impossible) goes arount 19-20k I found a 2004 merc optimax 200hp, I would probably go with that, I don't wanna pay an engine that price ...

Okay I found one that should be okay
I am going with a mercury 2.5 200hp with some mods on it. Goes around 225. It's a carb engine, but I am buying it from a dealer close to my house, less expensive and newer thant what I've seen. It's a 2003. My boss never agreed with over 10k for a setup.
So, there is a warranty of a year on the engine, camshat and pistons are in french we say forgé ...
I got a 4 setback jackplate
new controls
new steering stuff
everything ...
for a propeller ?? i don't know wich one to choose, everybody says a chopper but a fury seems to be interesing. What do you think ?The only difference between kid and adult, it's their toy size !
