Annual maintenance/inspection items for merc racing optimax. ????

What should I be doing, inspecting, or verifying on the unit annually? I want to take good care and will be maintaining it myself. Don"t want to overlook or neglect anything!!! Use it in freshwater, run it LOTS, it is new and I would like to go over it from the skeg on up. Beyond gear oil, grease job.

red top filter, oil strainer, return oil filter's coming from the air compressor. check plug gaps and make sure you run quicklean. also check thermostats for debris. on little rock stuck in the thermostat and it will drop temps to 85-90 deg and never warm up.

What year engine do you have? There should be a red top fuel filter screwed into the top of the VST.

What products would you use? Is this something mercury recommends? fuel additives I presume? Oh i should replace the compressor's air filter in the flywheel cover as well.
