my rub rail is in very nice shape. 20 years older than yours but atleast it wont sever any body parts if u rub against it!! lol

i got my front section of stringers in along with my battery/oil tank shelf yesterday. was a long day but had to make up for lost time, keith distracted my progress saturday and had us out for a few drinks, but we all had a good time.

if anyone is wondering why the core has resin all over it its because while crawling around up there and trying to be careful i ended up kicking over a pot of resin

have a little bit of trimming and cleaning up to do as well as wrapping the edges, and then ill be making bulkheads and sticking the tank in
i have got to do a little cleaning up on the deck support as well, that thing looks like hell. whoever glassed that in the factory must have been on drugs, it was much worse i had ground and cleaned all the loose and sharp hanging glass off of it allready

I would suggest putting the battery and/or oil on the port side somewhere. Helps alot with the balance. I moved my 50lb battery from the center to the rear port and it was night and day keeping her on the pad. I kinda have that tray like you just put in and that was where my battery was. Now just my battery switch is there but my try is up right behind my tank. Remember your gonna have your bilge pump under there. JMO

i understand moving the battery to the port to compensate for the weight of the driver when you are alone but i am going to mount the battery on the port side of the shelf while still attempting to keep the weight somewhat centered. i will also be losing my heavy ass seat bases which are around 45lbs per seat and centering the seats a little more hopefully helping to center most of the wieght. was the boat tending to lean or was it more of a chine walking/ handling issue? if have to i can always move some stuff around afterwards but id rather try to get it right the first time so hopefully my plan as of now works. thanks for the advice!

Well I go 6'2 250 so it was some a lean thing but it did handle much better over on the port side.

bodywork in the cock pit is done for the most part, also mocked up the rest of my bulkheads tonight. hopefully this weekend the bulkheads will be in and possibly start making the floor. Im waiting on 2000 epoxy and rubber to put the tank in but the tank sould be in by next weekend and with any luck the floor will be going in next weekend also.

cold weather and snow has slowed me down a little but i been working through it. im on a mission finish this thing
